Will I Ever Get Out Of This Concentration Camp?  – Untrodden #writephoto
I glance at the whiteness engulfing the land all around,
A bright, powerful, blinding white that dazzles my eyes,
The sky is white and the land is white,
Everywhere there is white and more white.

Will I ever get out of this concentration camp?

The pale sun’s glare on the abundant white snow,
Blind my eyes if I gaze at it too long,
My eyes which cannot see too well,
Blink rapidly at the white all around.

Will I ever get out of this concentration camp?

I ask myself, how long have I spent in this prison?
Created by our enemies who want to enslave our free spirit,
I glance at the guard who patrols the fence beyond,
Trigger happy thug who is ready to kill more and more.

Will I ever get out of this concentration camp?

They can hold me in this camp of death and doom,
As long as their lungs breathe and my motherland is enslaved,
But they cannot shackle my spirit that roams free,
And one day I will beat the guard and get past the fence.

On that day I will get out of this concentration camp.
