The State of the World
Everywhere, there is a chill in the air,
Which forebode no good to man or beast,
From east to west,
Tyrants had taken over.
Men who could not understand,
The meaning of freedom,
Ruled the world with an iron hand,
Tightening their grip on the present and future.
They know not the meaning,
Of love and brotherhood,
They only know,
The lust for power
Decent men watched in horror,
As the world took a deft right,
Sending shivers down the spine,
Of many a man, who valued freedom.
This too, we shall overcome,
Yes, we shall overcome, one day.
And the day will come,
When universal love would prevail.
